I’m looking at a 1999 Porsche Boxster with 145 000 miles. I know it’s quite a lot and I’d like to know what is likely to happen in terms of repairs or maintenance and what points should I check when test driving the car. Yesterday I was driving my 1999 Ford Windstar minivan that has just 91K miles. I heard a thud and then the car wouldn’t move. Today, my mechanic says the frame broke near the front passenger wheel.
